Changu Narayan Temple is considered to be the oldest temple of Nepal. Located in the Changu village of Bhaktapur district, this temple is situated 22 kilometers away from the city of Kathmandu. This temple is built in Pagoda Style and includes wooden and metal crafts and shows the earlier sculptural richness of Kathmandu valley.

This temple was built by King Mandev (First King of Lichchhavi era) at around 3rd Century. The temple is guarded by lions at all four doors and is double roofed. It stands majestically in the hill of Changu and is the temple of Narayan (Lord Vishnu) and is considered to be one of the four important Narayan Temples in the Kathmandu valley.
