Cultural diversity is often referred to:
1. Variety of human groups, societies or cultures in a specific region or the whole world.
2. Mosaic of individuals or groups with varying background, characteristics, value, belief, customs and traditions.
3. Differences in race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or language among various groups within a community organization or nation.
4. The variety of multiformity of human social structures, belief systems and strategies for adapting to situations to different parts of the world.
Culturally diverse population can be small or large. Russian as an ethnic group is very large and is distributed all over the former Soviet Union. The Nepalese culture are relatively smaller. Rautes have a population of not more than 200. In a population of 30 million we have 126 ethnic groups.
