Mixophobia has latin roots where "mixis" means mixture or blend and "phobos" means fear. The term mixophobia refers to an unconditional fear of mixture and describes the dominant forms of racism associated with nationalism. Mixophobia can be divided into three categories.
i) Intra-national: regionalism, autonomism and Independentism
ii) National : Nationalism in strict sense of word
iii) Supranational: Europeanism
Mixophobia includes tendency of demonizing other, a fear of hybridization, uncompromising defence of a pure racial lineage in order to protect the intra-group purity.
