Revolutionary wars are such wars which are fought to get some rights which have been deprived earlier. These wars are mostly political in nature and they possess the potentiality of changing the whole regime. The wars of independence in colonized areas, war against monarchy or established regime etc. are revolutionary wars. Revolutionary wars aim to make sudden change in the regime system. Cultural revolution in China led by Mao, American war of independence, French Revolution etc. are the examples.
