ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः । सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु, मा कश्चिद्दुःखभाग्भवेत् । ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Any influences in a research which a researcher is unable to control are called limitations. Limitations may be shortcomings and restrictions caused by the use of methods, research site itself etc. If the limitations makes any effects in the results of the research, such limitations should be mentioned in the research paper.

Delimitations are parameters set by the researcher to ease the investigation. The researcher should mention what he/she is not going to study and the reasons behind it. Delimitations should be reasonable and sometimes they are even expected by the readers.
