After 1990 the world was dominated by emergence of intrastate wars. Such wars emerged within the boundaries of an state due to social, economic and political reasons. Insurgents groups fought the intrastate wars. Ethnic conflict in Myanmar, civil war in Nepal, Srilanka, Syria etc. are the examples.
