Rani Mahal
Rani Mahal Palace is a spectacular site built in 1892AD/1949 BS by Commander-in-Chief and Governor Khadka Shamsher in memory of his beloved Queen Tej Kumari. The complex including a huge main building surrounded by layered gardens, stone walls and a small shrine, set on a massive rock bed at the bank of the rushing Kali Gandaki river.

This palace lies in the bank of Kaligandaki River in Palpa District of Western Nepal. Ranighat is also a popular short trek. The trail runs along the Bharangdi Khola river featuring a scenic gorge, mountain brooks, steep forested hills and rock side of Baikuntha Pahad as well as Hatti Dhunga (the elephant rock). One can find small tea and cold stores along the way.

There is another trekking route normally followed by the people of Syangja District. The route starts from AlamDevi Temple of Syangja District which runs down the hill to Satuka, across which Rani Mahal lies which takes around hour and half. The final destination can be Tansen Palpa which is around 5 hours walk from Rani Mahal.
